How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by their previous owner.
Why this pet is the one for you: Here comes Fern! This little turtle is sneaking their way into your heart. They are pretty new here but we know they'd already be an awesome addition to your pond! Red Eared Sliders need plenty of water to thrive and love fun snacks especially lettuce, red-eared sliders can up to 20+ years in captivity with proper care, as their average lifespan in the wild is 30! The general rule of thumb for proper slider tanks is 10 gallons per inch of the turtle's shell. Red-eared sliders grow to be about 12 inches in diameter and will need at least a 120 gallon tank full grown that provides a space for swimming and a space for land dwelling as Marshall is semi-aquatic. Red-eared sliders are omnivores so she will need a plant and meat based diet. Often turtles eat small fish such as comets or minnows, even bugs such as mealworms. We recommend doing lots of research before bringing home a pet like this little shelled friend. This turtle is currently looking for their next rock to bask on!
