I've been adopted!
How this pet arrived: Granite was brought in by a really awesome Good Samaritan on September 28, 2022.
Why this pet is the one for you: Granite, affectionately known as Adventure Piggy was found abandoned at a playground in a local park. He has quite the personality, doing little "popcorns" or jumping with joy whenever he receives his greens and food in the morning. He absolutely LOVES red bell peppers, dandelion greens and red leaf lettuce. So far, he isn't a huge fan of cilantro, but it may have been his first time trying it. He also enjoys guinea pig-appropriate chew blocks and toys. Granite is pretty easy to handle and is okay with gentle pets on the top of his head. He will require a large enclosure (check out C&C cages) and plenty of playtime outside of his enclosure for exercise and mental enrichment. Guinea pigs do not synthesize their own vitamin C, so they will need to be provided with a fresh source daily (bell peppers are a great option). Granite will also need unlimited timothy hay and fresh greens each day. Interested in learning more? Just ask an Adoption Counselor!
