Why this pet is the one for you: Jacksonville is a busy, little dwarf hamster who is looking for a home to call his own, and dreams of having a space where he can burrow, forage, and chew up a storm! Hamsters need a LOT of daily enrichment to keep themselves from becoming bored. Look up a "DIY hamster bin cage" for a roomy and inexpensive hamster home! Jacksonville needs a large amount of room (650 square inches) with plenty of bedding (6 inches) to dig intricate tunnels where he can do secret hamster things away from prying eyes. Jacksonville would love to find a human who will spend time slowly building a bond of trust and love with him! Jacksonville is a bit of a shy guy, so definitely take interactions slowly and work on building your trust with him over time! We recommend doing plenty of research before bringing this cute hammy home. Ask an Adoption Counselor to learn more about hamsters today so that you can start engineering some cardboard creations!
