I've been adopted!

How this pet arrived:
Armstrong was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team on June 18, 2022.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Wheet wheet! This precious lil' piggie is Armstrong!! A wonderful guinea pig looking for some new digs. Armstrong enjoys snacks, a comfy house, and play time with his favorite humans! Guinea pigs are incredibly social animals who typically need to be kept in pairs to thrive. Armstrong has shown in our care that he doesn't appreciate sharing his space with other piggies, so he may do best with a human BFF. Guinea pigs need a lot of ground space to run around and stay healthy. A single guinea pig will need a minimum of eight sq feet of space (more is better!) to call home. An easy and inexpensive way to give your pigs a DIY piggy palace is called a C&C fleece lined cage (google it!). Guinea pigs need lots of daily timothy hay to munch on, extra space to run around in, and toys to keep them active and enriched! Healthy greens and veggies are also an essential part of their diet, as well as a daily dose of vitamin C in the form of a supplement or a slice of orange! If you'd like to learn more about adding Armstrong to your family, come down to the San Diego campus to speak with an adoptions counselor!
