Meet Chimkin! Chimkin is just a little guy that is going to become a beautiful rooster some day! Right now, Chimkin needs to be kept in a secure, temperature controlled pen so he can stay warm and cozy (he needs it to be 85 degrees!). He will need special chicken feed and a chicken appropriate water bottle. As he grows up and gets more active he would love a little perch (you can use twigs) to play and rest on. Chickens are social creatures and do really well in groups. Usually the rooster will protect a group of hens, they grow long spurs that can cause a lot of damage if they feel threatened so it will be good to socialize him while he is young. Roosters are not allowed in all areas of the city, so make sure to check your local housing ordinances before coming in! Are you ready for this lad? Ask an Adoption Counselor for more information!
