I've been adopted!

#710850
Age: 5 years
Weight: 72lbs

How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by a Good Samaritan on December 26, 2020.

At SDHS:
Moose has been microchipped, neutered, and is up to date on vaccinations. Our medical team also removed several masses with mostly complete excision. They would like to speak with you prior to adoption of Moose in order to answer any questions you may have!

Why this pet is the one for you:
Moose is a sweet, chonky pittie boy looking for a loving home to call his own! He bonds close to his people and loves being around them, getting all the pets he can. Sometimes when he gets excited meeting new people he may enthusiastically jump up to greet them, however he's been making very good progress with calmer introductions and would do great with continued positive reinforcement. Moose is a mellow guy who enjoys hanging out, and he's a bit of a messy eater! His foster reports he appears hard of hearing so he'll need a family that will emphasize more visual cues for any training or to get his attention. Moose is also exhibiting signs of arthritis and would do best in a home without many stairs. With his considerable weight and excitement about life, Moose pulls a bit on leash. His adopters should be prepared to walk him on a front-clipping harness and continue his positive reinforcement training. Does Moose sound like the pup for you?
