Why this pet is the one for you:
Dorado is a beautiful Havana bunny! Dorado loves playing with toys and other rabbit enrichment items. Rabbits love exploring the house, and often get zoomies in the morning! When he is not being active Dorado can always be found cuddling up. Like all rabbits, Dorado will need a large x-pen/playpen like enclosure with at least 12 square feet of room to stretch out. Rabbits are very easy to litter-box train, and Dorado has been doing great with this while in our care! Dorado will also need plenty of daily time to explore outside of his pen. Rabbits are intelligent and complex animals who do well in families with humans who understand that they are prey animals, and do not enjoy being held/picked up. The best way to bond with them is to spend time with them outside of her pen, and shower him with plenty of cilantro, Romaine, and Timothy hay! They will let you know when they are happy by giving you a bunny binky (a hop/ twist in the air)! Because rabbits need so much space and aren't easy to hold they aren't an ideal "starter pet". Rabbits usually do best with older children who can respect their boundaries. When Rabbits get the space and enrichment they need, they often form deep bonds with their humans in the same way a dog or cat would. If it's your dream to have a floppy earred buddy to eat salads with snuggle (on their level) then Dorado might be the one for you!
