How this pet arrived:
Galileo was brought in by a Field Services Officer on November 28, 2020 with several other cats.

Why this pet is the one for you:
This is Galileo! Galileo came to us from an overwhelmed owner who had too many cats. Due to the multi-cat household, some cats may need some time learning the basics of being a cat. Galileo can be shy at first and hesitant with new people, but with time, you'll see his personality shine through! He feels most confident when he can initiate the interactions and will be more openly loving when his boundaries are respected. He enjoys gentle petting, but he does have his limits and can get a bit overwhelmed, at times. He can be very talkative and likes to tell you about his day - if you talk back, you'll have quite the long conversation. He loves to play and thrives off of the novelty of new toys (he gets bored of toys somewhat easily), so it's best to keep a toy box where you can rotate different toys out and keep him interested and entertained. He may still hiss when he's startled, but he recovers well and allows petting. We feel that Galileo will thrive in an adult only home with cat-savvy adopters who will give him ample time to adjust. We can't say for sure how long it will take for him to settle into a new home environment but we appreciate adopters who are patient and willing to allow him time to warm up on his own. Cats from homes like this tend to thrive in multi-cat households and Galileo may enjoy having a friend. Galileo does have some medical conditions, such as dental disease, which his adopters will need to keep an eye on.
