How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by a Good Samaritan on January 15, 2020.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Mr. Jax has been staying in a foster home and continues to thrive. He may take his time opening up, but this sweet little soul is worth the wait! Once Mr. Jax settled into his foster home, he enjoyed pets from his foster and even started eating out of their hand! He will do best in a quiet mature home where he can feel safe to fully open up! Did you know that rabbits are easy to litter box train? Well, they are! Mr. Jax did well with this in his foster home! Contrary to popular belief, rabbits are not cage animals so they need a lot of space! Mr. Jax will need a large exercise pen to call home as well as plenty of daily time to explore his home, and hang with his humans. Domesticated rabbits are delicate animals who are very sensitive to outdoor elements so they do best as indoor pets. Rabbits do best in families that understand that they are prey animals, and do not enjoy being held or picked up. The best way to bond with them is on their level (and on their terms).
Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV2) is a highly contagious disease affecting rabbits. Due to its presence in San Diego County, all rabbits will receive a mandatory RHDV2 vaccine before adoption. Guests will be charged $12 for this vaccine upon adoption.
