Why this pet is the one for you: This sweet girl is Astoria! She's a beautiful rat with a snowy white coat who's looking for a comfy abode with you! Rats typically live two to three years with proper care and with proper socialization, these lovelies will learn to enjoy human company and make wonderful pets. Rats are clean, curious, good-natured, and they form close-bonds with their humans, however we cannot be there for them all the time and it is unfair to keep them alone - they do best in social groups or pairs! They are active and need a large cage with plenty of toys: 30" x15"x18" minimum for two adults! One of the great things about rat toys and playtime is that they don't have to be expensive; you can make them out of everyday objects.
