How this pet arrived: Holstein was brought in by a Good Samaritan on November 10, 2021.
Why this pet is the one for you: This is Holstein! Holstein is an adorable rabbit looking for his new home. Rabbits, like Holstein, need large enclosures or exercise pens kept indoors for health, safety, and socialization purposes - it's also great to give them free-roaming time outside of their enclosure! Did you know rabbits are easy to litterbox train? Well, they are! Rabbits also succeed best in a home that understands that they are prey animals, and typically do not enjoy being picked up or handled. The best way to bond with your new rabbit buddy is to get on their level (literally!) and feed them some yummy hay and greens while they bounce around! If Holstein sounds like the one for you, let an Adoption Counselor know!
Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV2): Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV2) is a highly contagious disease affecting rabbits. Due to its presence in San Diego County, all rabbits will receive a mandatory RHDV2 vaccine before adoption. Guests will be charged $12 for this vaccine upon adoption.
