I've been adopted!

How this pet arrived:
Fred was brought in by his previous owner on July 14, 2021.

Why this pet is the one for you:
This is Fred! Fred is a friendly young rabbit who will hop up to new people to investigate them. Rabbits, like Fred, are intelligent and complex animals who do well in families with humans who understand that they are prey animals, and do not enjoy being picked up or held. The best way to bond with them is to spend time with them on the floor, and shower them with plenty of greens and Timothy hay! Fred would likely do best being the only rabbit in the home. Fred is a domestic rabbit and we recommend that adopters keep him indoors. Fred will need a large enclosure with free roaming (bigger is always better). Fred would love a family who will interact with him daily to keep them active and social! When rabbits get the space and enrichment they need, they often form deep bonds with their humans! Ask an Adoption Counselor to learn more!

Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV2) is a highly contagious disease affecting rabbits. Due to its presence in San Diego County, all rabbits will receive a mandatory RHDV2 vaccine before adoption. Guests will be charged $12 for this vaccine upon adoption.
