How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by their previous owner on July 23, 2021.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Wheet wheet! This cutie is Porko! They are wonderful guinea pigs looking for some new digs. Porko enjoys snacks, a comfy house, and play time with his favorite humans! Porko is a special guy who has a head tilt and history of a head tremor. The exact cause of this is unknown but suspected to be a chronic middle ear infection. His adopters will want to use their complementary free veterinary exam with adoption to follow up with their personal veterinarian on any future care. Guinea pigs are incredibly social animals who need to be kept in pairs to thrive. Guinea pigs need a lot of ground space to run around and stay healthy. Two guinea pigs will need a minimum of 10 sq feet of space (more is better!) to call home. An easy and inexpensive way to give your pigs a DIY piggy palace is called a C&C fleece lined cage (google it!). Guinea pigs need lots of daily timothy hay to munch on, extra space to run around in, and toys to keep them active and enriched! Healthy greens and veggies are also an essential part of their diet, as well as a daily dose of vitamin C in the form of a supplement or a slice of bell pepper! Porko and Kochon are being fostered by a local elementary school, where they receive daily care and socialization from students and faculty. If you'd like to learn more about adding Porko and Kochon to your family, please call us at (619)299-7012!
