How this pet arrived:
This pet was rescued by the Humane Law Enforcement Team.

Why this pet is the one for you:
This beautiful trip-color girl is Cholly! When Cholly arrived at SDHS we quickly realized she was pregnant with three baby girls! Cholly has raised her brood and is ready to find a home of her own. Guinea pigs are extremely social herd animals, so Cholly will need to be adopted with one of another Guinea pig. Guinea pigs can be skittish at first, but warm up with time and patience! They are prey animals, but once a guinea pig builds a relationship with their people, they enjoy snuggling in their adopter's laps for pets! Cholly will require a large enclosure with places to hide and toys to chew on for enrichment! She would also benefit from time out of the cage every day to exercise and bond with you! Guinea Pigs enjoy munching on yummy timothy hay all of the time! They also love daily greens and orange slices in moderation. They require daily pellets to meet their nutritional needs as well! They can be big talkers and will express how they are feeling with different sounds - be sure to listen, to get an idea of what they are telling you! If you're looking for an adorable Guinea pig, give us a call to learn more about Cholly today!
