I've been adopted!

How Chewy arrived:
Little Foot was rescued by our Humane Law Enforcement.

Why Chewy is the one for you:
This is Chewy! Chewy has plenty of energy and loves to explore and play! Rabbits are intelligent and complex animals who do well in families with humans who understand they are prey animals, and do not always enjoy being picked up or held. The best way to bond with them is to spend time with them on the floor, and shower them with plenty of veggies and Timothy hay! Chewy is a domestic rabbit and they should be kept indoors. Chewy would appreciate being the only rabbit in the home (he would love all the treats to himself)! Chewy will need a large enclosure with free roaming time (bigger is always better) and would love a family who will interact with him daily to keep him healthy and social! When rabbits get the space and enrichment they need, they often form deep bonds with their humans! Ask an Adoption Counselor to learn more!

Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV2):
Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV2) is a highly contagious disease affecting rabbits. Due to its presence in San Diego County, all rabbits will receive a mandatory RHDV2 vaccine before adoption. Guests will be charged $12 for this vaccine upon adoption.
