Odie is a two-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix; he is a very shy fellow that would appreciate a family that is willing to respect his boundaries and let him adjust on his own terms. Older respectful children, 12 years and up would be best due to his fearful behavior. You know the saying; good things take time. Because Odie can be quite wary of new human friends, he needs to meet everyone in the home before adoption; the behavior and training team here at SDHS will speak with his new family to help them put their best foot (or paw) forward, and get everyone off to the best start. If you have another dog in the home, please bring them in to meet Odie too. If you are ready for a nice slow and steady relationship, ask for Odie!
