How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by a Good Samaritan on August 21, 2020.

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!

Why this pet is the one for you:
Hammie is an energetic, silly, super social dog with lots of enthusiasm and zest for life! Hammie enjoys going for walks, playing with toys, and eating lots and LOTS of hot dogs. Due to his high energy and large size, Hammie will need to be adopted into a patient home that will help him continue to learn and practice calm manners and impulse control. He would also do best in an adult-only home or one with older, sturdier children. In addition, Hammie may be okay having some known canine friends, but would do best as the only pet in the home. Before taking him home, you will be able to meet with one of his trainers in order to learn more about him and discover how best to set him (and you!) up for success living happily ever after. Additionally, Hammie and his new family are required to enroll in our Marvelous Manners virtual training classes to continue his success in the home!

If you think Hammie would be a great fit for your home, please book an appointment to speak with an adoption counselor today!
