This pet was transferred in from another facility on 6/25/20.

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. She is now ready for her new home!

Why this pet is the one for you:
Celeste is a shy pup that is looking for a quiet household to call her first home. This sweet girl is reserved at first, but comes out of her shell in playgroups with other dogs and engages with toys, kiddie pools, and enrichment. Because Celeste has had limited exposure to the world outside of our care, she will need to go home with a patient family who will help her continue to develop confidence through positive reinforcement training. To help her flourish, Celeste will also need to be adopted into a family with a canine companion for her, and with older children only. In addition, Celeste cannot currently walk on a leash, so her new household will need to have a fenced-in yard or ground floor patio, ideally in a calm neighborhood.

In care, we have been helping Celeste to build positive interactions with people and novel experiences, including touch, petting and being clipped on a leash. Prior to adoption, you will meet with one of Celeste's trainers to learn more about her and how you can help to set her up for success in her new home.
