How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought back by her previous owner on May 8, 2020..

Why this pet is the one for you:
This perfect little Elder-bull is Cowgirl! She was in rough shape when she arrived at the SDHS. It appears that she hasn't been properly cherished by humans the way all dogs deserve to be. At our shelter Cowgirl has been soaking up the care and attention she is getting every day. Cowgirl is an incredibly gentle dog who breaks your heart wide open as soon as you meet her. She exudes peace and contentment when she is receiving affection from her people. She likes to nuzzle her pretty pastel face into your hands to encourage you never to stop petting her. Cowgirl gives the most heartfelt tender kisses in return for your pets, and to be honest it never feels like a fair trade. Cowgirl is a bit creaky and stiff. She is an older lady who has had a rough life, but she still believes that good things come to those who wait. Cowgirl would love to find a quiet home with soft places to sleep, a sunny spot to sun bathe, and idle hands to pet her. Cowgirl's ideal retirement home is a quite house with grown or teenage humans where she can be your one and only fur child. Cowgirl bonds so quickly to the people who are important to her, so she needs someone who can help her learn to be comfortable being alone. Due to her age, and her life circumstances Cowgirl has some medical conditions that are important to consider. Our lovely Adoption Counselors would be happy to talk to you more about Cowgirls needs over the phone. If you feel that Cowgirl deserves to finally be cherished, and you think you're the person to do it please call us about her today!
