Why this pet is the one for you: Meet Phoenix! This beautiful, darling gal is just like her namesake--it takes time for her affectionate personality to rise. Phoenix can be slow to warm up to new people and does best if you toss treats and let her approach on her own. Because of her shy nature, Phoenix is recommended to live with adults-only or older, respectful kids who can understand her body language. While she doesn't have any experience with cats, she can be playful with other dogs. Once you're friends with her, Phoenix is your typical, goofy wiggly-butt who gets excited and leans in for pets! If you're interested in adopting her, Phoenix's trainers can give you some tips on how to ease her transition into your home and do a quick meet-and-greet. Talk to an adoption counselor today!
