At SDHS: This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!
Why this pet is the one for you: Meet Sid! This tiny guy has a lot of personality and is looking for a loving home to call his own! Sid can be nervous when meeting new people--it's important to go slow, give him lots of high-value treats, and let him approach on his own. He has some clear personal boundaries and will tell you when he's uncomfortable. Once you're friends with him, Sid is a sweet, affectionate guy! He enjoys going for walks where he can sniff everything, but will need a harness to keep any leash-pressure off of his small neck. When Sid arrived in care, our medical team noticed that he had pretty bad dental disease. Apparently he hadn't been flossing regularly. We did an extensive dental cleaning, which involved several extractions. Sid will need to eat wet food for a few weeks and wear a cone until he heals.
