How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by their previous owner.

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!

Why this pet is the one for you:
This sweet, frosted face is Mika! Mika is ready to be the queen of the house. She looks forward to spending quality time with her humans, being spoiled, and cuddly couch time. Mika has lived with small pups and did well with them. She did have a go at the resident cat, though. What, she thought that they were playing chase? Mika also lived with older and respectful children. She is looking for a mellow home where she can spend her retirement. Shepherd pups tend to bond very deeply with their humans and Mika is looking forward to getting to know you! She has gone through a lot of changes lately and is hoping for a loving and patient adopter to giver her the time and comfort that she needs to do well in the home. Mika struggles with separation anxiety and will do best with an adopter who has experience working with a dog with similar anxieties. She may be a great fit for someone who is home often, and who can continue her positive reinforcement training, get her on a routine, and help her build confidence when she's alone. While in our care, Mika had a mammary mass removed that is healing well. If you think that Mika might be a good fit for your family, speak with an Adoption Counselor today
