Brian has been adopted!

Hello! I am currently available for adoption in foster.

How I arrived: I was brought in by a Field Services Officer on 7/2/18.

Why I am the one for you: I have been friendly and social during my stay at the Escondido Campus. I would prefer to be the only dog in the home. I'm currently enjoying my time in a foster home, where I love to hang out with my foster family and get lots of attention. I love going for walks but especially like being indoors with my family. Want a little more information about what life will be like with this lovable old man? Here's some information from his foster families:

"He loves attention and would nudge my arm with his nose when he wanted to be petted. He did the same with my daughter. He would also put his paw on my knee to get attention. He loved getting his belly rubbed. He always slept in my bed. He enjoys taking walks and does not need, or try, to run...this was helpful for an older owner who has slowed down some.

He also likes just "hanging out" at home. He definitely prefers indoors and wasn't excited to go out into my patio. He would go out with me when watering the plants but was happy to come right back in. He knows the command sit and would quickly go to the door so I could put on his leash before going out. When I open the back door of the car and tell him to "stay," he did so until I could grab his leash and then tell him OK and he would jump out. He loves riding in the car and travels well. He is pretty smart and whenever I picked up my keys, he was at the door wagging his tail."

Another foster family: "Brian is a great dog who followed me around the house. He seeks affection and loves treats and can be playful but was mostly at my side. I had multiple visitors to the home and Brian greeted them all and allowed pets."

Most recently: "Brian has wonderful manners, is polite, listens, and loves to be a companion. He trots most everywhere instead of just walking. Brian dotes on people and is most interested in being your best buddy. He mostly enjoys taking a snooze near you, following you around the house and going for a walk."
