Why this pet is the one for you: This sweet guy is Freelo! He came to us allll the way from Louisiana! He considers himself to be a free spirit and is focused on traveling while in between homes. Freelo has been taking his time to warm up to the new environment and people. While in our care, he has been working on his positive reinforcement training and would like to continue this in the home. He can be hesitant of new people and environments, so we are working on helping him make positive associations with new things. We do know that he likes hot dogs. As of now, we really see his personality shine in his habitat, where he is most comfortable. Freelo is a goofy and energetic pup! He is currently limited to short, calm leash walks while going through medical treatments. Like many dogs from the humid southern states, Freelo came to us positive for heart worms. Luckily, Heart worms are treatable, and Freelo's treatment will be taken care of by SDHS. We are still getting to know this pup and if you think you might want to get to know him too, speak with an Adoption Counselor today!
