How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by their previous owner on July 29, 2020.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Some dogs just have that face where you immediately fall head over heels for! Let me introduce you to Kekoa #59064. Kekoa is a 10 year old, 85lb husky. Kekoa is a Hawaiian name which means warrior. Are you ready for this little, well, not so little warrior to come home with you? Huskies were bred to run while pulling something heavy for miles in polar conditions so giving them enough exercise is no easy feat! Kekoa may have less energy now that he's older, but he will still need plenty of exercise to keep his anxiety under control. Kekoa craves adventure and if you don't give him what he needs he'll go look for it on his own! Kekoa, like many huskies, is an escape artist who could give Houdini a run for his money. He can jump over, dig under, or swim around any obstacle between them and a good time. For that reason, having a yard isn't what is important for a dog like Kekoa. Kekoa will need daily structured exercise like long walks or hikes as opposed to chilling in a back yard. However, Kekoa may not be an ideal dog for apartment living. When this guy is left alone, he tends to sing the song of his people to calm himself down (which can cause problems with the neighbors). Kekoa is friendly to strangers, but he's nervous around kiddos, so an adult home will be the best fit for him. He seems to coexist with other dogs, if they are laid back but doesn't seem to appreciate dogs being in his personal bubble. Does this sound like the dog for you? Make an appointment to learn more about this wild man today! As a bonus, you will have the opportunity for a one-on-one consultation with one of his trainers to discuss how to best set Kekoa up for success!
