Why this pet is the one for you: Orisa opperates at a much higher speed then the rest of us "regular" people. She's an intelligent being who craves constant mental stimulation and exercise. Orisa can't stand boredom! She knows that this world has so much to offer her, and she doesn't want to miss out on a single moment! You could say that she has FOMO (you'd be right). This girl has DRIVE. She was born with a desire to work and learn, so she's looking for someone with opposable thumbs who can keep up with her! Orisa is a working breed dog ,so she needs a human who has lots of experience with this special class of canines. Unlike typical house dogs, Orisa won't be satisfied with a couple walks a day and a 20 min play session in the back yard. This girl wants to be challenged! Orisa would thrive in a home where positive reinforcement training is ingrained in the daily routine. AT SDHS Orisa has been working with our trainers every day. Orisa loves being mentally/physically challenged and can become frustrated when she lacks outlets for her energy. When she's not with her trainers, Orisa LOVES to play with toys. This girl will play fetch until she drops, so she needs a responsible adult to make sure she's taking rest breaks. When we bring her out to the yard Orisa runs straight to the closed toy bin and promptly pushes it open with her muzzle! She loves fetching small balls, pushing big jolly balls around the yard, throwing stuffies in the air, she's even been known to diligently collect all the balls and make a big pile of them! At SDHS Orisa has been learning to play with her toys in a calmer less frantic manor, but since she can be grabby, we think she'll do best with adult humans. After hearing how much Orisa likes to chase balls you may not be surprised to learn that she has a bit of a problem with chasing cars. She doesn't know what it is, but something about those cars just makes her want to go get them! She knows this is a problem and has been working with her trainers on curbing this compulsion. We think she will do best in a more rural area with less traffic to rile her up. Since Orisa has been in training she's been doing a lot of journaling and self-reflection on her wants and needs. Orisa is asking the universe for a home where she can spend a few hours every day learning new things. She is a very high energy girl so she's looking for an athletic human who can wear her out! She also really wants her own private fenced in yard to play fetch in. Lastly, she's looking for a monogamous relationship where she won't have to share your attention with any other non-humans.
