#685206 How this pet arrived: At SDHS: Why this pet is the one for you: Although Wawa is a super sweet girl, she can initially be very shy/fearful in new environments and with new people. In care at SDHS, she has displayed signs of stress when returning to her kennel after spending time outside, and also tends to howl when left on her own. Wawa would do best with a patient family who will let her slowly adjust to her new home spaces. She is also recommended to live in a quiet household without many people coming in and out. At this time, it would be ideal for Wawa to go an adult home- teenagers would probably work, as well! Wawa has lived with other dogs, but can be very vocal and mouthy during play. For this reason, she would do best with a similarly-sized, confident dog who can easily give and accept correction. Due to her play style, she would not do well at dog parks and beaches. Wawa is not recommended to go home with cats. Prior to adoption, you will meet with one of Wawa's trainers to learn more about her and how you can help to set her up for success in her new home.
