Why this pet is the one for you: Meet Vincent! Vincent originally means 'to conquer', and we believe this guy will be conquering hearts! Vincent came into our care with dozens of other dogs in a preemptive clearing of Louisiana's shelters in preparation for Hurricane Delta. It has been quite a trip for this handsome man and he is ready to settle into a home on the west coast - do you think that could be with you? We are still learning about Vincents's likes and dislikes, but so far we can tell you that he enjoys making friends with just about everyone he meets! He can be somewhat impulsive, so his new family will need to use plenty of positive training and patience to help him with his manners. Vincent has tested positive for heartworm, which will require limited activity until his treatment is completed. He will have follow up treatment care with us at SDHS.
