I've been adopted!

#698515
Age:3 yrs
Weight:50 lbs

How this pet arrived:
This pet was transferred in from a shelter in Louisiana.

Why this pet is the one for you:
This shiny, beautiful soul is Bruce! Bruce flew all the way from Louisiana to get out of Hurricane Delta's path. Now that he's landed in sunny San Diego, Bruce is ready to start a new life! I'm sure you're not surprised to hear that Bruce was shy when he first arrived at SDHS. Boarding a plane for the first time will do that too you! It didn't take him long to make friends with all of his staff/ volunteers though! Bruce wins hearts easily with his sweet natured shenanigans. He's clumsy, endearing, impulsive yet gentle at the same time. He loves giving kisses, and when we pet him he leans his entire body into ours! Bruce is excited to meet every human who crosses his path! This sweet fellow knows how to sit, and walks well on a leash with a harness! Like many dogs from the humid southern states, Bruce has tested positive for heart worms. Luckily, Bruce has already started his treatment at SDHS, and his finally treatments will be performed by our vet staff even after Bruce finds a home. While he's kicking those heartworms to the curb, it's important that Bruce's exercise is limited to mellow controlled leash walks ( no dog parks or chasing tennis balls for this guy!). Once Bruce gets a clean bill of health from our vet he will likely have a LOT of energy. He will need daily walks, runs, hikes or adventures with his humans once his treatment is over. If you'd like to know more about this good good boy, book an appointment today!
