I've been adopted!

#698518
Age: 3 yrs
Weight: 48 lbs

How this pet arrived:
This pet was transferred in from a shelter in Louisiana.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Oh, how this silly boy makes us smile! Bear is ecstatic to be in San Diego! He flew all the way from Louisiana to dodge Hurricane Delta, and he has adjusted surprisingly well! This boy is so full of the wiggles we don't know how he doesn't fall apart! Bear is an affectionate dog who greets everyday with enthusiasm. He loves exploring on walks with our staff/volunteers, and once he's stretched his legs a bit he's quiet cuddly. Like many dogs from the humid southern states, Bear has tested positive for heart worms. Luckily Bear has already started his treatment at SDHS, and his final treatments will be performed by our vets once he's adopted. While Bear is kicking those heartworms to the curb it's important that his exercise is restricted to calm controlled leash walks. Once Bear gets a clean bill of health he will have A LOT of energy. He will need plenty of exercise like long walks, runs, or hikes to keep him living his best life. If you'd like to learn more about this happy go lucky teddy bear, book an appointment today!
